Seeing as the first step in our Korean skin care routine is the use of an oil cleanser – this should indicate the importance of selecting the right oil-based cleanser for your skin. And the Banila Clean It Zero may be just what you are looking for. Consistently rated one of the top oil-based cleansers in Korea this product has a proven track record when it comes to delivering soft and clean skin.
One aspect of this cleanser that sets it apart from other oil cleansers is the texture. It has a sherbet-like texture that is much more solid than most other cleansers. This makes it easy to use a spatula to scoop out and place it into your hand. This makes it ideal for use during travel as there will be far less spillage than other oil-based cleansers. I find it great for removing waterproof makeup but it also doesn’t strip the natural oils from your skin which leaves your face staying hydrated. There is no greasy residue left behind after use which is what you want to see in an oil cleanser.
This product should be the first step in your skin care routine. It comes with a small spatula which you should use to scoop out the oil cleanser and gently massage the product all over your face and neck. There is no need to use water at this stage. Eventually you will feel the solid texture become more oily and you’ll notice it start to dissolve your makeup. Add some warm water to emulsify and continue using a circular motion. Rinse off the formula thoroughly with warm water and then you can start the next step of using a water based cleanser.
The product contains a Papaya fruit extract and a raspberry extract which will help with Vitamin C and Vitamin A. These will help fight free radicals and protect your skin from premature aging. It also contains a mineral oil.
There is a slightly citric fragrance which should not be a problem for most people. If you are sensitive to fragrances though you may want to keep this in mind. I personally do not have a sensitivity to fragrances so you’ll have to decide for yourself.
It is designed for all skin types including oily skin. It can be used with dry and normal skin as well. Although if you have eczema or are sensitive to certain ingredients you may want to try some of their other products. A full list of the ingredients are listed on their website here.
